Dr. DeLane was raised in Austin, Texas. He attended the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School at San Antonio for his D.D.S. degree. Dr. DeLane received his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate in 2000 after completing a two-year orthodontic residency at Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. DeLane has a quiet and comfortable candor about him. Most of his free time is spent with his beautiful wife and two wonderful children. Dr. DeLane enjoys most types of sports but his passion for golf is unsurpassed and he takes every opportunity to play. He has been whitewater rafting and if you spend a little time with him, he may tell you about the fish he caught that was as "big as the boat."
A native of Minnesota, Dr. Trandem completed her orthodontic training at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook under the guidance of Dr. Richard Faber. She also received her doctorate in dental medicine from SUNY Stony Brook and she holds a Masters in materials engineering from the University of California Irvine and dual bachelors degrees in chemistry and physics from St. Olaf College of Northfield, MN.
Dr. Trandem worked at Pall Corporation prior to entering dental school where she applied her materials science expertise to develop filters that were used in medical, defense, environmental, and manufacturing applications. Her work there resulted in several patent considerations. She also worked for 3M as a chemist and has published research during her time at the University of California and Brookhaven National Laboratory.
A former intercollegiate runner for St. Olaf College, Dr. Trandem still enjoys running today in addition to biking, and hiking together with her husband and daughter. She is happy to be living in one of her favorite cities, Austin, working for Carus and looks forward to seeing her patients’ look of satisfaction when their braces are removed.
